Create simple schedule patterns that you might need to schedule courses in your master schedule. Simple schedule patterns are patterns you create for courses that meet on a fixed schedule of days and periods during a cycle. For example, courses that meet first period everyday.
| Tip: You can use the following examples to define commonly used simple patterns: |
- A flat pattern for sections that meet the same period everyday.
- A flat pattern for sections that meet two periods in a cycle.
- A flat pattern for sections that meet every other day in a cycle.
To create a simple schedule pattern:
- When defining a schedule pattern, at the Schedule pattern style field, select Simple. The page displays the Days/Period grid:
-

- Click the boxes that represent the meeting times of courses that will use this pattern.
| Note: After you identify the pattern, click Save. If you selected to explode the pattern, the system uses the one period/day combination that you map on the grid to create every possible matching pattern within the schedule on the list of patterns available on the Pattern Library side-tab. |
